I regularly visit International Schools, and in particular those in the Middle East. What educators at these schools often tell me is that English and Arabic learning are high on the school’s development plan, to accommodate for their population of students who are speaking Arabic or English at home.
Within the Middle East especially, bilingual ability is important for communication and cultural context. With this in mind, I wrote an article, with research by my colleague Alex Willcox, for submission in the International School Leader Magazine on how technology can help facilitate this goal in Middle Eastern International Schools.
The article has recently been published and you can read it in here, pages 30-31.
