When I visit schools and demonstrate speech support, I’m occasionally asked whether Crick Software products also support speech to text. Therefore, in our brand new DocsPlus iPad App we have captured the power of Apple’s Siri to enable this!

A couple of weeks ago I visited schools in Kuwait to demonstrate our literacy support tools. They loved using Clicker on Windows/Mac and having recently invested in Chromebooks, they wanted to learn about sharing resources between Clicker and the Clicker Apps for Chromebook.
Many elementary schools are now introducing Shakespeare to their students through adapted stories and dramatic activities. We have a selection of Clicker resources that are designed to support students writing sentences, plot summaries, and texts about the tragedy Macbeth.
When visiting a school for a training session last week, we got to discussing how to best use the free resources on LearningGrids. The teachers were excited to explore how they can personalize resources to suit their students’ specific interests or needs.
The Bett Awards are considered the highest accolade in the Educational Technology industry, so we’re delighted to have won the 2018 Bett Special Educational Needs Solutions Award for Clicker 7.
Last term I had the pleasure of meeting Emma Dibden from Jumeirah English Speaking School (JESS), Dubai. Emma is Head of Learning Support, an Inclusion Champion, and a prominent member of the Dubai Inclusion Network.
A great feature of Clicker 7 is the ability to share files with the Clicker Apps for iPad. Files made in Clicker 7 can be opened in the corresponding Clicker App and vice versa.
With the release of DocsPlus this year, I have been doing more visits to middle and high schools to show districts how this powerful tool can help students move away from picture based supports and create longer pieces of writing.
